The College Way Water Line project in Mount Vernon, WA included saw cutting and removing existing asphalt and installation of over 3,000 lineal feet of 12-inch ductile iron pipe down a drive lane on College Way. Crews worked both days and nights to complete the installation of the pipeline, diverting traffic to a single lane throughout the duration of the installation. Night shifts were utilized to make lateral crossings across College Way to minimize disruptions to heavy traffic throughout the day. Once complete, the WRS asphalt paving crew came in and completed an asphalt patch in the travel lane.
