Triston Felix

As an Estimator in the Asphalt Paving & Maintenance division, Triston’s main responsibilities include working with customers to understand the project, give job cost estimates, and work with the superintendent and foremen to see the job through to a successful completion.

Triston joined WRS in July 2023 as a paver/operator, and in January 2026 was promoted to Estimator. His first job in the grading and paving industry was as a shop/yard assistant, cleaning and doing minor repairs to asphalt plants and paving equipment. Triston started with WRS as a laborer and excavator operator on paving and grading crews. He eventually became a roller operator, then acquired his CDL one off-season so he could drive commercial trucks as needed. Triston continued to take on responsibilities, filling in as a screed operator which eventually turned into a permanent role until he was moved to the role of Estimator.

What he enjoys most about this work is interacting with the Asphalt Paving & Maintenance team, as well as the customers. When challenges come up that need to be overcome, he finds it fulfilling to find a solution.
