Outside of Work

Outside of work: When she’s not at work, Corrie – who played sports her entire life and now gets to be part of her kids’ sports journey – can usually be found coaching or cheering on her kids from the sidelines! She also loves traveling and spending quality time with family and friends and making memories together.

As an Asphalt Sales & Estimator, Corrie’s main responsibilities include building meaningful relationships, identifying new customers and growing her network, and delivering accurate and competitive bids based on the needs of a project. Corrie believes that “sales come from building trust, staying connected, and creating relationships that lead to long-term opportunities,” so her weeks involve meeting with homeowners and business owners on-site to understand their needs, goals, and expectations, while gathering the necessary information to put together accurate bids. She also meets with the foremen and paving crews to stay up to date on current jobs and to analyze projects to ensure the process and timing of those jobs – and future ones – are quoted accurately.

Having grown up in Ferndale, Corrie has always been familiar with WRS through the company’s involvement in the community, and driven past the office on Grandview countless times. In September 2026, that office became a daily destination as she joined the WRS team after previously working as a project manager/estimator in the fence industry.

What she enjoys most about this work is that every day is different and there’s always something new to learn. Corrie loves being in an environment where she can challenge herself and keep growing. “I know I’m in the right place when coming to work doesn’t feel like a job, but something I genuinely enjoy doing every day.”

For Corrie, what makes WRS a great place to work are the people and the work environment. “Since day one, everyone has been welcoming, kind, and supportive, and it’s clear that people genuinely enjoy being here. That creates a refreshing, positive atmosphere where everyone can have fun while still staying focused and getting the job done.”
