Corey Bertsch

Corey joined the WRS team in 2026, bringing decades of industry knowledge and an aptitude for railroad projects. As a Superintendent in the Civil Construction division, Corey’s main responsibilities include overseeing the construction, maintenance, and inspection of railway infrastructure, ensuring projects meet safety standards and budget constraints, leading field crews, scheduling track work, and coordinating with engineers. On a day-to-day basis, Corey can be found focusing on daily operational efficiency, safety compliance, and resolving any on-site technical issues.

What Corey enjoys most about the work he does is working outside, meeting new customers, and doing unique work with equipment. For Corey, what makes WRS a great place to work is “the family atmosphere and the warm, open arms for everyone.”
