The "3Cs" Awards

The “3Cs” Awards were born out of a desire to celebrate team members who were living out our values:

Character, Chemistry, and Competency.

These are the three most important characteristics that we look for in team members, and our entire hiring process is centered around them. But we don’t want the 3C’s to be seen as merely a hiring requirement, and forgotten about after that. As a team, we want to remain focused on these characteristics, and work towards consistent growth in each area!

We want to recognize, encourage, and reward these traits in each other when we see them. So we invited everyone, company-wide, to send in their nominations, and then we selected winners based on number of nominations and stories/comments shared by their coworkers.

Steve Anker

Steve Anker

2022 "Jerry Libolt" Character Award

We are proud to announce Steve Anker as the recipient of the first annual “Jerry Libolt” Character Award.

The Character Award goes to a team member who:

· Exhibits integrity in all that they do

· Always does the right thing

· Genuinely cares about co-workers, customers, and WRS

· Puts others first

· Is true to their word

· Can always be counted on to go the extra mile

Here’s a few of the comments Steve received as nomination:

“He truly represents WRS in all 3 C’s. He is the prime example of how someone should treat others. He can mediate any conflict with calmness. I have known Steve for 25 years and I have NEVER heard anyone say anything negative about him. He gets along with everyone and is very humble. He carries himself in a way that we should all strive for but few, if any, can do. He stays calm when others would have had a meltdown, and I don’t know how he does it. He is a man that I strive to be.”

“It appears that Humbleness and Character go hand in hand. If asked, my friend Steve Anker would probably tell you that he has a lot of room for improvement. But let me tell you, there isn’t a more extraordinary example of a person of good character than Steve. He is kind, thoughtful, patient, approachable, trustworthy, a great teammate, and truly cares about WRS and the people around him. But most of all, Steve is truthful (even when it hurts). Thank you for being the role model you are to us all Steve.”
