UAV Mapping and Inspection
WRS utilizes drone technology on the majority of our projects in order to aid in quality assurance, quantity tracking, and documentation.
The data acquired using UAVs during mapping is used to create 3D surface models, as well as geo-referenced imagery. Geo-referenced imagery is then overlaid onto design line work to create real-time, as-built drawings for our civil construction and paving projects.
Another area we specialize in is aerial inspections of towers, stacks, vessels, and transmission lines. Flying a dual payload allows us to collect zoom and thermal imagery simultaneously, in order to zero in on hot spots in equipment and quickly find anomalies.
Using a collision tolerant internal inspection drone we are able to fly in confined or uninhabitable spaces to perform inspections and pre-entry verification to ensure the safety of personnel.
